Naohisa Hara is known as a photographer capturing relations between cities and nature of Europe such as France, Italy, Spain, etc. He represents "legacy of time" of Europe based upon various historical background by his great photographing technique of 8x10 inches camera as well as breathtaking prints.

It was in 1997 Hara visited Seoul in Korea, nearby county in Asia, for the first time. He felt something like sense of nostalgia, and was impressed by enthusiasm of students and the vibrant city at the same time. He naturally became interested in photographing Korea someday in near future if the occasion arise. His wish was realized in 2000. He photographed Chongmyo in Seoul which was dedicated to?King and Queen of Rhee Dynasty, then he made several visits to Korea to photograph "legacy of time" of Korea in a great change.

" Photographs of Korea" is the first series of photographs of Asia for Naohisa Hara. Around 40 selected gelatin silver prints are shown.
