Ken Kitano began to document people in the same age on film several years ago. He visited people of various occupations in their sites also people in the group activities, photographed their portraits while interviewing with them. Piling portraits of people belong to the same group on the photographic paper, the certain figure as a visible image came out. The portraits produced in this way by Kitano is the mixture of elements both documentary and visual expression, and it shows something beyond what he tried to verify through photographs. Through a trial and error process of printing, Kitano got to the process to expose dozens of negative films one by one on one printing paper. At present it becomes possible for him to produce prints by various printing method using secondary master source such as inter-negative or scanned data. They are digital output color photographs also black and white photographs printed on the traditional printing paper in the exhibition. Around 40 prints are shown.
