Making, Marking, Mapping – approaches to the next generation Vol.2 May 15 (Fri.) – June 13 (Sat.) 2009

At the exhibition, works by 4 young photographers, Kazuharu Igarashi, Hiroyuki Takenouchi, Yoko Naito, and Kazutoshi Miyoshi, who have varied way of expression are shown as a new stream of photography. The characteristic shared with all 4 young photographers is that they, through photography, renew recognition that the past leads to the present social environment around them. By photography's original function: record, they express the world surrounding them. It is like mapping that they discover the new way of seeing by tracing the map and record again.
