The exhibition of Kozo Miyoshi's work is open through September 3. Miyoshi started photographingalong Japan's coasts again in around 1998 by 8x10 inches camera.He visited fisherman's villages in Aomori, Akita,Yamagata, Niigata, Hyogo, Shimane, etc., many times. Every photographwhich is beautifully printed by himself is representing his thoughtsthrough tripsin Japan. He always asked himself if something has changed. "Has anythingchanged? Or have I changed? Maybe nothing has changed at all. Thereis the sea. Thereis the port. Therev are the boats and the houses. And there isthe huge rock and hill constantly watching over it all". The photographsby Kozo Miyoshi represents not only factual images what he observedbut also shows lapse of time laying beneath orbehind landscapes and spirit of Japanese people. Around 40 blackand white breathtaking prints in 20x24" are shown.They are photographed in 1998 to 2004.
