Kozo Miyoshi was born in Chiba prefecture, Japan in 1947. He graduated from the Department of Photography, Nihon University College of Art in 1971. He was awarded of the Photographic Society of Japan, Newcomer’s Award in 1986.

Staying for one year internship as a Government Overseas Training Program for Artists at the Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona in 1991 and he subsequently stayed in Arizona until 1996.

His recent solo exhibitions include On the Road Again (PGI, 2017), RINGO (PGI, 2015), SEEN (aura gallery, Beijing, 2014), 1972 (gallery 916, Tokyo, 2013), SABI (Photo Gallery International (P.G.I.), 2013), YUBUNE (P.G.I., 2012). His works are in the collections of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography (Tokyo), Nihon University (Tokyo), Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona (Tucson, USA), Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (USA), among others.
