Kozo Miyoshi was born in Chiba prefecture, Japan in 1947. He graduated from the Department of photography, Nihon University College of Art in 1971.
Government Overseas Training Program for Artists One Year internship at the Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona in 1991, after finished the program, he went on staying at Arizona and returned to Japan in 1996.
He is the more recent and highly regarded as it continues to have exhibited at the Museum including the Mead Art Museum, Boston (2012), the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography (2014), the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (2015).
He gains a high reputation from home and abroad for his style which face a scene with a sincere eye by using a 16×20 inch big format camera.
