Photography? End? Seven visions—new photographic experiences
Photography? End?
“Photography? End?” is the name of a collective of seven Japanese artists, based in both Japan and abroad, active in the field of photography: Kazuyoshi Usui, Naruki Oshima, Yuki Onodera, Ken Kitano, Risaku Suzuki, Miki Nitadori, Yuji Hamada. The collective first came together in 2015 and began releasing their activities in 2019. They have traveled overseas to various cities and held exhibitions, presentations, talk sessions with curators and local artists, as well as worked on new series while abroad. This book contains an interview with each artist of the collective conducted by the curator Mitsuhiro Wakayama. The interviews reveal both the similarities and differences between the artists, while presenting a starting point for the readers to contemplate on photography of this era.
