Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1943. Seike began assisting photographer Tadahiko Hayashi after graduating from Japan Photographic Academy in 1970. He became an independent photographer and moved to London in 1974, devoting himself to art photography after his first exhibition Zoe in the UK in 1985. While best known for his portraits and nudes, in recent years he has also produced a number of surreal landscapes.
